Our Three Pillars
Find Out More About Our Wealth Creation Programs
The BBA’s ReStart Initiative offers a variety of tools and guidance. Our primary goal is to help black individuals launch, grow and manage their businesses. Our ReStart Initiative includes three pillars:
Next Level Leadership focuses on providing Black entrepreneurs, managers, and small business owners with the skills they need to take their businesses to the next level. We have a team of industry experts who provide mentorship, business strategy guidance, and access to capital.
Succession Solutions provides assistance with succession planning for existing businesses as well as new businesses. We offer insight into the best practices of succession planning, helping owners prepare for future growth or potential sale of their business. Our goal is to assist retiring business owners in passing off their businesses to trained successors while ensuring economic stability.
Our Talent Connection program helps connect qualified black professionals with potential employers in Memphis. We’re committed to helping business owners find the right individuals to fill executive-level positions, as well as entry-level positions. Through our network of contacts and resources, we’re able to help match job seekers with potential employers.
Next Level Leadership
The Next Leve Leadership (NLL) program emerged from BBA’s work with a design team consisting of instructional curriculum developers, seasoned industry experts, and employers to develop an actionable course to take entrepreneurs, managers, and small business owners to the next level. Through the design process, BBA Memphis determined that participants would be best served by dividing the program into two tracks: Career and Entrepreneurs.
Succession Solutions
With this effort, the BBA aims to identify, evaluate, and facilitate the acquisition of companies owned by Baby Boomers without succession plans as well as viable companies considering an exit from the Memphis market. The goal is to connect these owners with Memphis entrepreneurs, locally owned companies, and ambitious, business-minded managers willing and able to step into ownership roles.
BBA Talent Connect
The Talent Acquisitions program will focus on connecting Black professionals to employers offering career opportunities specifically within industries struggling to identify and hire diverse candidates. We’re committed to helping business owners find the right individuals to fill executive-level positions, as well as entry-level positions. Through our network of contacts and resources, along with our partnership with Matchplicity, we’re able to help match job seekers with potential employers.
